Hello, my name is Lindsey.
If I could describe myself as an animal, I would say that I am a curious cat. Always curious and never bored, I never say never to new experiences, people and places! Specifically, I am intrigued about the ability of good design to positively influence peoples’ lives. I am currently based in Brisbane, but I’m open to wherever my UX journey takes me.

Why UX?
I have been crafting and drawing with my hands since young, hence it was natural for me to gravitate towards careers where my creativity can run free.
For the past 7 years, I have been working in the Architecture and Interior Design industry. My time in the design industry has been invaluable, as I have gained a plethora of experience designing and managing various project types.
I am familiar with design thinking and iteration, as designing digital spaces is akin to designing physical spaces. In addition to this, the sketching and ideation skills that I have gained in Architecture have come in handy during the UX and UI design process. Lastly, I am used to collaborating within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals within time frame and budget.
I stumbled across UX by accident by clicking on a Facebook article, and you could say the rest is history. UX is the perfect fit for my personality and skills, as I am a people person who is keen to maximise my creative and empathetic skills. Creating enjoyable experiences to improve peoples’ quality of life brings me immense joy and satisfaction.

What is my design philosophy?
"The role of the designer is that of a very good, thoughtful host anticipating the needs of his guests." Charles Eames
This quote resonates deeply with me, as I believe good design is intentional, intuitive and most importantly delightful to experience!

What inspires me?
Long nature walks, exploring new places, dabbling in art & illustration & positive self-development.
In short I am a creative person who is always experimenting, constantly evolving and never static.
